Playing and saving on your device
Dark Raid does not ask you to create an account with us. The game stores your progress, inventory, settings (language, graphics, night fog), production queues, achievements, purchase records, map exploration, creature notes (bestiary) and the queue of pending Game Center reports on your device so that you can continue playing. It also keeps local gameplay records for up to the latest 20 raids, including in-game actions, map positions, noise, outcomes and duration. These records describe the game world, not your real-world location. The game does not send these detailed local records to a developer server, and they are not part of the iCloud copy described below. The game has no feature for sharing or exporting them. Your analytics choice and the daily counters of rewarded ads are also kept only on this device; they are not part of the iCloud copy. Summary usage events are sent to the analytics services described in "Analytics, attribution and ads" below.
The game does not request microphone, camera, contacts or precise-location access. Sound and noise mechanics are simulated; they do not listen through your microphone. We do not sell your personal information. The game includes third-party analytics, attribution and advertising services, described below; the game does not require an account with us, a name, an email address or a phone number.
Apple services
Apple processes information for its services under its own policies and your Apple account settings.
Purchases. Optional in-app purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. The game receives product and transaction information to grant purchases, avoid duplicate grants and handle refunds. The developer does not receive your card number or Apple account password through the game. For measuring revenue, the game also passes the product identifier, price, currency and transaction identifier of a completed purchase to the attribution and analytics services described below. Purchase information may appear in Apple's developer sales and financial reports. Transaction identifiers are stored in your save and therefore in the iCloud copy. Spent Bits and starter kits cannot be restored.
Game Center. If you sign in, the game sends achievement progress and leaderboard scores (noise level, raid time, valuables brought home and extraction streak) to Apple Game Center. It stores a Game Center player identifier locally to keep pending reports associated with the correct account. Your Game Center name, scores and achievements may be visible to others according to Apple's features and your privacy settings. You can manage Game Center through device settings.
iCloud. If you are signed in to iCloud, Dark Raid keeps a copy of your game save in Apple's iCloud key-value storage and synchronizes it between your devices that use the same Apple account. The copy contains your game progress, inventory, production queues, achievements and purchase records (product and transaction identifiers), together with a randomly generated installation identifier, the device model (for example "iPad13,4"), a save revision number and timestamps used to detect conflicts. It does not use your device name, your advertising identifier or your Game Center name. A new install with no progress of its own can restore the iCloud copy automatically; when two devices have different progress, the game shows both and asks which one to keep, and keeps a local backup of the replaced save. Nothing is uploaded while a raid is in progress. The developer does not operate a cloud-save server and cannot read this data. You can turn iCloud off for Dark Raid in iOS Settings (Apple ID › iCloud); local play continues.
Notifications. If you grant notification permission, the game schedules local notifications when production or a station upgrade is ready. The permission is requested after your first long production, not at launch. These reminders do not require a developer push-notification server. Permission can be changed in device settings.
Diagnostics. If you choose to share diagnostics with Apple, Apple may make crash or performance information available to the developer to help investigate faults. Such sharing is governed by your Apple settings. This is separate from the services in the next section.
Analytics, attribution and ads (third-party services)
Dark Raid uses the following services. Each of them receives data directly from the game on your device and processes it under its own privacy policy; the developer receives reports from them.
- Google Firebase (Google Analytics for Firebase, Crashlytics, Remote Config) — provided by Google. Used for product analytics, crash reports and game settings that can be changed without an update.
- AppsFlyer — mobile attribution provider. Used to measure which advertising campaigns led to installs and in-game actions, and to measure revenue.
- Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) and Google User Messaging Platform — provided by Google. Used to show optional rewarded video ads and to ask for consent where required.
- Google Ads — our Google Analytics property is linked to our Google Ads account for campaign measurement, with personalized advertising disabled for that link. Other attribution or advertising links may be enabled for Dark Raid when available; this does not start a campaign.
What may be collected and sent.
- Identifiers: a vendor identifier (IDFV, the same for all apps of this developer on your device), a Firebase app-instance identifier and an AppsFlyer identifier. The advertising identifier (IDFA) is read only if you allow tracking in the iOS prompt described below. We do not set a user ID, and we do not send your Game Center identifier to these services.
- Usage data: game events such as tutorial steps, start and result of a raid (district, outcome, duration, noise level, value of valuables brought home, number of creature types seen), level-ups, quests, workshop and production actions, store views, purchase attempts, changes of in-game currency, and offers of rewarded ads. Firebase also receives a short summary of your game state as analytics properties: level, approximate number of raids and extractions (in ranges), approximate Bits balance (in ranges), whether you have made a purchase (yes/no), workshop station levels, the selected district, game language, graphics and night-fog settings, whether tracking is allowed, whether rewarded ads are available, and the app version. These properties go only to Firebase, never to AppsFlyer, and only while analytics is on. They contain no account, device or transaction identifiers. AppsFlyer receives only a few of these events: tutorial completed, raid result, first extraction and some level-ups. The events contain game information; they do not contain your name, the names you give to kits, or the detailed map positions kept in local raid records.
- Advertising data: whether a rewarded ad was offered, tapped, shown, completed or failed, the ad network and the estimated ad revenue; for ads served by Google, the information needed to select and measure ads.
- Purchases: product identifier, price, currency and transaction identifier of a completed in-app purchase (no payment-card data).
- Diagnostics: crash reports and performance information such as device model, operating system version, app version, memory and the state of the app at the time of a crash.
- Device and network information: device model, operating system version, language, time zone, and the IP address of the connection, from which the services can derive an approximate (country or city-level) location. The game does not request precise location.
Why. To understand how the game is used and improve it; to find and fix crashes; to measure which advertising brought players and what they do afterwards; to show optional rewarded ads and measure their results; to change game settings remotely; and to detect abuse and technical problems.
Rewarded ads. Ads are optional. An ad starts only when you tap its button, never on its own and never during a raid. There are two offers: "Dispatcher bonus" (extra cubes after a successful extraction, up to twice a day) and "Dispatcher supply" (up to 2 basic crafting materials, once a day). The reward is shown on the button before you watch. Ads never give Bits or in-app purchase products. Ads are provided by Google (AdMob) and its advertising partners. They are personalized only as described below; otherwise Google is asked to show non-personalized ads.
Tracking and consent.
- Analytics. Where the law does not require consent first, analytics and attribution (Firebase and AppsFlyer) are on by default after the intro screens. You can switch them off at any time. In the EEA, the UK, Switzerland and wherever Google's consent tool says consent is required, or if your region cannot be determined, Firebase and AppsFlyer start only after you agree. Your saved choice always applies: if you have switched analytics off, it stays off. If Google's consent tool cannot be reached (for example, offline), your region is treated as unknown: the game asks you first, and no ads are shown until a later launch reaches the tool. Crash reports and remote game settings follow the same choice.
- Consent form in the EEA, UK and similar regions. Where the law requires it, the game shows Google's consent form (User Messaging Platform) on first launch. AppsFlyer and Google read the choices you make there.
- iOS tracking prompt (App Tracking Transparency). Before the game reads the advertising identifier or links its data with other companies' data for advertising and measurement, iOS asks for your permission. The prompt appears once, in the menu after the intro screens. If you choose "Ask App not to Track", the identifier is not read, AppsFlyer works without it, and ads are not personalized. The game remains playable. AppsFlyer can still process installation identifiers other than IDFA for attribution; Apple’s SKAdNetwork also provides aggregated campaign reports.
- Personalized ads. Ads are personalized only if you allow tracking in the iOS prompt and, where Google's consent form applies, you also agree to personalized ads in it. In all other cases Google is asked for non-personalized ads.
- Changing your mind. Analytics: open Profile › Privacy and analytics and choose "Continue without analytics" (or "Allow analytics" to turn it back on). Consent form: where it applies, the same screen has "Advertising privacy options", which reopens Google's form. Tracking: iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking › Dark Raid. Turning analytics off does not turn off rewarded ads; ads are still optional and follow your advertising choices.
Sharing and transfers. We do not sell personal information. Data is shared with the service providers above only as described here, and they may process it in other countries, including the United States, subject to their own safeguards. Their policies:
- Google: https://policies.google.com/privacy, Firebase: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy, and how Google uses data in partner apps: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
- AppsFlyer: https://www.appsflyer.com/legal/services-privacy-policy/
Retention and deletion. Each service keeps data for its own periods:
- Google Analytics for Firebase: our settings keep detailed event data for 2 months and user-level data for 14 months. The 14-month period starts again when the same device is active again. These limits apply to detailed data and explorations; standard aggregated reports (for example, daily player totals) are not limited by them.
- Crashlytics: Google keeps crash reports and the identifiers linked to them for 90 days, then starts deleting them (https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy).
- Remote Config: Google keeps Firebase installation identifiers until their deletion is requested through Google's interface for developers; after that they are removed from live and backup systems within 180 days (same page).
- AppsFlyer: how long device-level data is kept depends on the integration and the advertising partner; aggregated data is kept for up to 25 months (https://support.appsflyer.com/hc/en-us/articles/360006091197-User-level-data-retention).
- Google AdMob and the consent form: Google keeps AdMob reports for fixed periods: user activity 90 days; ad activity, cohort and privacy & messaging reports 2555 days (about 7 years) (https://support.google.com/admob/answer/16585829). These are periods for reports, not a single deletion date for all advertising data; Google's privacy policy above applies to the rest.
When you switch analytics off, the game stops sending new analytics data; data already sent is kept under those settings. To ask for deletion of data tied to your device identifiers, write to support@alexcozygames.com. We will take reasonable steps, including forwarding the request to the services, but we may need information to identify your device because we do not know who you are.
If you contact support
If you contact the developer, we receive the address and information you choose to send. We use it to answer you and investigate the issue, and keep it only as long as needed for that purpose or applicable legal obligations. Do not send passwords or payment-card information. Diagnostic files should be shared only if you choose to provide them. Support mail uses Google Workspace/Gmail; incoming mail is also copied to the developer’s private inbox for handling support. Both copies are covered by requests to us.
Your choices and data removal
Local game data stays on the device until it is removed, overwritten or the app is deleted; operating-system backups (including iCloud Backup, if you use it) can retain copies of this data. Deleting the app does not necessarily remove iCloud data, Game Center history or Apple's transaction records. Manage those through the applicable Apple settings and support options. A remaining iCloud copy can restore your progress after reinstalling.
You can refuse notifications, refuse tracking, switch analytics off in the Profile, change the consent form choices, manage Game Center and iCloud through device settings, and contact support@alexcozygames.com with questions or requests concerning information you have sent to the developer. Depending on your location, applicable law may give you rights to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of personal information. The developer does not receive the data kept in iCloud or Game Center, so access or deletion of that data is handled through Apple. Data sent to analytics, attribution and advertising services is handled as described above. We respond to privacy requests within applicable legal time limits. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority. Apple handles requests relating to data it processes independently.
Children and changes
The game is not directed at children and is not intended for people under 13 (or the higher minimum age in your country). Advertising and analytics are not intended for children. We do not intentionally collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent personal information to support, contact us so that we can review and remove it where appropriate.
We may update this policy when the app or its data practices change. The published policy will show its effective date.

This website
This static website uses Firebase Hosting. Google receives ordinary request information, such as your IP address and requested URL, to deliver and protect the site. We add no analytics scripts, advertising pixels, cookies, embedded forms or remote fonts to these pages. Opening an email link does not send a message.
Legal grounds and safeguards
We rely on consent where required for analytics, attribution and personalized advertising. Elsewhere, we rely on our legitimate interests in understanding and improving the game, with the controls described above. We process requested purchases and support to provide those services, and retain information where legal obligations require it. We do not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. Providers may process information outside your country under the safeguards described in their privacy notices and contractual terms. We limit access to support records and protect service accounts; no system can guarantee absolute security.
